Hi my name is Wendy Baker I live in Horsham, I have been doing hobby pottery for a number of years. I use a Leach kick wheel and fire my work in an electric kiln. I am largely self taught and have taken inspiration from, among others, the work of Simon Leach and Michael Cardew. I grew up on a smallholding on the edge of town and spent most of my time outdoors enjoying the countryside. As an adult I was fascinated by the Anglo-Saxon pottery in the British Museum. All of these have influenced me. My hope is to make something that is pleasing and gives pleasure to those
