THE HENFIELD FESTIVAL OF GARDENS & ARTS, saturday 9th & sunday 10th june 2018
ABOUT THE FESTIVAL
The Festival began its life as a village event in 2000 as part of the Millenium celebrations, and 2018 will see it in its 19th year. The event has changed in size and in character over the years, but its main purpose is still to celebrate and promote the community and culture of the village of Henfield. It does this through the good graces of Henfield residents who open their gardens to the general public for the second weekend in June, invite artists to display and sell their work, and invite musicians to perform for the festival-goers. In addition to the private gardens, community venues such as the Henfield Hall, Haven, local churches, etc., also make themselves available as locations for art to be displayed and music to be performed. Entrance to all venues is free, as are all artistic displays and musical performances. Location hosts may wish to support a charity of their choice as part of the Festival, and festival-goers are free to contribute to those charities if they wish.
