Sallyanne Brownie, The Henfield Hall, Sat & Sun
For my animals I work in oils, and I paint seascapes in acrylic. I painted in my early years, studying at school and college, then gave up until Covid hit. I took it up again in lockdown, having taken redundancy from my job, after 32 years travelling round the world and working in recruitment in London.
I chose to move into the countryside - at Fulking, near Henfield - and to build an art studio in my garden and continue my passion for painting. I joined an online art school taught by the amazing artist Jean Pritchard from the Lake District, who teaches using Zoom. We continue to this day to learn under her expertise. I could spend every day painting, and for me to finally have some work to exhibit is a life goal.
