8 & 9 June 2024
OTHER EVENTS
The Festival is often an occasion which tempts people to put on events, or coincides with events which are welcome additions to the fun and games of the weekend. We list some below...
Artisan Market on Sunday
The monthly Artisan Market takes place on Sunday from 10am to 2pm in the Hall car park (Coopers Way). Parking may be a little more crowded than usual. The traders usually park their cars/vans in the Library car park and will start to move them to the Coopers Way park after 2pm.
Before the Festival...
Rob Le Grice (local artist-teacher) will be visiting some Festival gardens to sketch prior to the Festival. During the festival weekend he will turn his observations into exciting drawings that use texture, colour, shape and form to create an ‘impression’ of the space. Artworks will be exhibited in the Henfield Hall Garden Room.
The Cabin Café, Downs Link
Kieran Berrett, at the Cabin Café on the southern half of the Downs Link and one of our sponsors, is selling a selection of cakes and treats. If you're down in the Station Road, Lower Station Road or Lower Faircox area, why not pop round for a snack.
Stonepit Nursery
Stonepit Nurseries, also one of our sponsors, will be selling plants from a stall in Red Oaks during the Festival.
The Henfield Club
Another Festival sponsor, the Henfield Club, will show art from its permanent collection and from local artists for a fortnight before the Festival and a fortnight after the Festival. Upstairs in the Committee Room. Artists include the late Richard Searles, Elizabeth Horbatenko, Kenneth McIntosh and Mike Ainscough.
After the Festival - Sunday evening at the White Hart
The monthly music session at the White Hart runs from 7pm to 10pm on Sunday evening. All welcome to play, sing or just listen.
Saturday evening - Brighton Comedy Club
