Kimai, which literally means 'Energy Dance' in Japanese, cultivates and radiates the values of Beauty, Grace and Love. It is an oriental movement form, based on elements from the Chinese, Japanese and Indian cultures.
I found Kimai, one week after resigning from my 20 year marketing career in Tokyo, and trained with my Kimai Teacher, Komine Sensei, for five years as her assistant. I regard Kimai as my greatest gift from Japan, which I wish to once again share, perform and teach. The exquisite floral kimonos that I wear for the performances and entertainments are all works of art in their own right and serve to enhance the beauty and power of the form.
It is a great privilege for me to officially participate in the Henfield Open Gardens again this year, and especially in these four beautiful key locations of Henfield. What a great village - thank you Henfield!
Meanwhile I look forward to offering my Gift of Kimai to you....the greatest gift of love I can give.
