Q: Do I have to pay to play at the Festival?
A: There is no fee required to play in a Festival garden or Community venue. If a garden
has been selected for you, or if you have made arrangements with a garden owner,
then you can play as you wish.
Q: Will I be paid to play at the Festival?
A: No musicians performing at the Festival get paid, but you are welcome to sell CDs of
your music or other goods. There will also be publicity for you in the Festival booklet
     and on the website.
Q: How will I know which garden I'm performing in?
A: When you complete the application form, giving details of your music, whether it's
acoustic or amplified, for example, we will arrange for a suitable venue in which you
can play. If you already have an agreement with a garden owner, put the location on
     the application form.
Q: What happens in the event of rain, etc.?
A: How and where you perform in the garden is up to you and the garden owner. Once
you have been paired with a garden, the details of your performance are a matter of
     discussion with the owner.
Q: Is any other data required other than the application form details?
A: At some point we will ask you for a photograph, and possibly further details, to put
into the Musicians' Gallery on the Festival website. The information space in the
booklet is very limited, but the website profile can be much fuller.
